$100,000 FINAL RESULTS

Wowowwwaaa, I was supposed to post my results in February but I have either been on the road or in the air. PLUS, I needed some time to calculate my totals.  In calculating I had a little dilemma because I actually have 2 businesses, I have my consulting and training under Starr Hall then I have my SmartyVA business. So, do I pull the totals together to determine whether or not I hit the $100,000 mark?

I must say that I did NOT in fact make $100,000 in 90 days, I know, I know- what can I say? Instead I decided to go a bit over, I brought in $149,428 in the 90 day time period as of Feb 16th, 2010. Now with that said, I was not specific enough in my goal, looking back I only committed to bringing in $100,000, I forgot to add in NET, yes, I had vendors and partners to payout from the gross amount. I LOVE my business partners and vendors but Geessshhh, a girls gotta have some new shoes (and of course donate to Kiva)!

So, what did you close out at? If you joined in on the challenge, feel free to email me or post and let me know what your goal was and where you ended up, I would love to know any and all successes as well as challenges.

My challenges throughout the 90 days- I had alot going on with new business coming in, a new company launching, speaking travel, new clients, ideas and partnerships etc… and honestly I did not delegate like I should have.  I learned quickly that I needed to delegate better (I am still in  the process of handing things over to my new VA- Shauna). I also needed to create a system for my emails being that I started to get close to 500 daily.  So systems was a big challenge for me. I actually could not fulfill the business that I was bringing in so fulfillment ended up being a HUGE challenge. Now, I have a full time business coach and a complete team in place so I am ready to hit well over the 1 million mark in 2010 and THAT my friends is my next challenge. ONE MIL NET minimum goal in 2010.

In closing, I also realized that I did not have the time to keep building my online connections via social networking but during this time I had an eye opening experience.  I realized that most business owners are not going to have the time to build their numbers into the thousands or hundreds of thousands, we are busy and we do not necessarily want to be social media superstars, living on the computer every moment of the day.  What I found out is that even with numbers in the hundreds and launching into the thousands that you can still profit from these smaller numbers. Heck, if I only have 650 fans and 1500 friends on facebook as well as 2,000 connections on Linkedin and 3,000 on Twitter AND I can still double my sales then it is not about the numbers- it is about who you are connecting with and how you are engaging with and taking care of them by providing value and resources to help them grow personally and professionally.

SO thats it from me for now, I have a new blog launching next week and I have committed to weekly postings once it is live to include videos and resources from business partners around the globe.

Thank you for your support and connection online and off- I so appreciate YOU!

$100,000 Challenge UPDATE

Phewwww- it has been a long few weeks of traveling, marketing, planning, working with clients and trying to get ready for the holidays.  I am FINALLY getting to an update post in regard to my $100,000 challenge.

First of all, how many of you have decided to challenge yourself and set a number on a 90 day challenge- please post, email, share. I decided to do this so that I would push myself and not become complacent over the holidays and into the New Year and let me tell you I have had a few weeks where money has been flying in and a week or so where I didnt see or feel a thing. SO here it is, I have committed to making $100,000 in 90 days or less and I am currently (drum roll please)…

$74,734 away from my goal with 63 days left on the calendar- can I do it? YES I CAN!!! Yes I will!!!!

So there is my update, it hasn’t been easy but then again what in life comes easy? I have been enjoying the challenge, learning new things, meeting new people, traveling to new places, building a new company and enjoying every minute of it (okay except for the day I had a pity party- you ever had one of those?- well I only allowed it for about 2 hours then I got over it!- I couldnt help it at the time, I had to back out of a deal that I really didn’t want to but it was for the better in the long run).

Until my next update post- get out there and do the different. Please do share your successes and your challenges.

Off to make some more moola,

Starr Hall

Starr Hall Challenge Day 3

From this point forward I will be posting my challenge status weekly instead of daily. As of today, I have $97,341 to go. Woo hoo! I am forming new partnerships daily, reaching out to new high level connections, the media, new clients and more. Today- I am going to give a webinar to a few hundred people, tonight a publicity training to 20 clients and tomorrow, well- it’s a whole new day. I focus on a 10 points a day (min) system as follows, I do at least 2 things in each of these areas DAILY:

2- Exposure (reaching out to the media, a blog or speaking engagement/presentation)

2- HPA (High Payoff Activities- things that make me moola right away)

2- Systems (check my company’s systems to make sure they are efficient and effective)

2- Personal (yep, it’s me time!- read a book, take a walk etc…)

2- Networking/connection (2 new high level networking connections min every day, this could be a group or community online as well)

Thats it for today- more next week, I am hoping to be in the $$75,000- $80,000 to go range or lower works for me!

Off to make moola and try new things,

My 90 Day $100,000 Challenge Starts Today

Yep, I have decided to challenge myself to bring in at least $100,000 in the next 90 days. Now with that said, this is not all about me nor is it all about the moola. I want to challenge you to do the same- commit to a challenge and share your progress on my blog or social site profiles. To keep it focused- let’s call it the “Starr Hall Challenge”

I am going to post my progress right here. For example- today is Nov 16th, I have already brought in $878 today, with several deals pending (and we haven’t checked the mail yet today:) ). $99,122 to go, 89.5 days left.

At the end of the 90 days, we will all have a virtual celebration in my online Linqto Live chat room, more details on the party to come. Feel free to join, invite friends, co-workers, family- let’s just do it. Although I am tying a monetary amount to this goal, it is also about challenging myself to try and do new things, I am all about the personal growth. Are you in?

Your friend and fan- Starr Hall
